How To Search
Start your search by clicking on the 'Body Style' selection button.
You'll then be asked a series of questions about what you want to search for.
You don't need to make all of the selections - once the 'Search' button has appeared you can just use the information you have already selected.
'Body Style' Search
We can search according to the body style of the car (e.g. hatchback, saloon, coupe, etc).
And then we'll narrow down your search, asking about;
- the fuel type (petrol, diesel, hybrid, electric, etc);
- the type of gearbox (manual or automatic);
- the number of seats;
- the manufacturer and any specific model.
By narrowing down the number of cars we think you'll find a car that's closer to your needs.
Search Results
Once the search results appear you can also see additional items such as the body style, fuel economy or battery range, emissions and the performance of the car.
To see these items click on the buttons for 'BODY', 'ECONOMY', 'EMISSIONS', 'PERFORMANCE' or 'BATTERY' and check the boxes for these items to display them on screen.
The most effective way of searching is to set all your car requirements at once and then click on the 'Search' button, but you can also see the impact of changing individual search criteria as below.
Instant Search Updates
You can see the impact of changing individual search criteria on the results.
To do this click on 'Settings' at the top of the screen and in the 'Update Options' section choose 'Instant Search Update'. This will update searches every time you change each individual selection.
Keep in mind though that turning on the instant update feature will usually increase the amount of time it takes to get to the end of your search. This is because as every change is made you re-run the search.
You can also reduce the number of results displayed on each screen by changing the 'Display' in 'SETTINGS'. Choose either 'All Results' to show every vehicle or '20 vehicles per page'.
