Choose A Van

You don't have any vans saved in your garage

To get started choosing a van just select a manufacturer from the list below, then a range and individual model (we call them 'derivatives').

You can then save a van in your 'garage' for use later in your DriveSmart session and configure it with options, analyse running costs and more!

Once you have selected a new van you can then save it for use later in your DriveSmart session and see the monthly payments.

For Help on selecting a van click on the ? button at the top right corner of the screen or scroll down for more information.

How To Choose A Van

You can create a new van with our online web tools so you can:

  • configure it;
  • analyse running costs;
  • view technical data and specifications;
  • calculate company van benefit and tax;
  • see the monthly finance payments; and
  • compare it to other cars.

Choosing A Van

To get started, select the manufacturer you want.

We'll list all the popular manufacturers for you automatically - just pick one from the list.

Once you choose a manufacturer you'll see all the model ranges available for that brand (including special editions).

Select a model and then we'll show you the list of individual vans available from the chosen model range.

These are known as 'derivatives' - they're basically each variant of the model currently available, typically named by trim (e.g. '2.0 Panel Van' or '2.0 Chassis Cab').

Choose a derivative and you can then select what you want to do with the van from the choices below.

Configure

Once you've chosen a van you can configure it with options and check the total 'On-The-Road' price of the van.

Our van configurator will also check your option selections against the manufacturer's 'build rules' for the chosen model.

('Build Rules' basically set out what a manufacturer can add to a specific model - they're based on the van's standard equipment and the factory limitations for additional equipment and options.)

Our configurator will also check for option combinations which aren't allowed by the manufacturer, or when selected options have to be paired with other items to make a 'buildable' van.

Running Costs

Our running costs calculator can analyse the costs of operating a new van over 1-5 years for petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric cars including;

  • depreciation;
  • servicing and maintenance;
  • tax disc (or 'vehicle excise duty');
  • fuel; and
  • insurance.

You can quickly identify the most effective ownership period for your van to optimise running costs.

Technical Data and Specifications

Compare vans side-by-side on technical data such as fuel consumption/battery range, performance, standard equipment and the cost of options.

Company Van Benefit

Our van tax calculator will analyse for you the taxable benefit of company van weighing 3,500kgs or less*, taking account of;

  • your tax residence (Scotland has different tax rates to the rest of the UK);
  • private use contributions (these can be tax deductible).
*Based on the van manufacturer's design weight (the weight which the vehicle is designed or adapted not to exceed when in normal use and travelling on a road laden).

You can even compare tax liabilities on petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric cars side-by-side.

Finance Payments

We'll calculate the typical monthly payment for a van whether you're a business or personal customer.

We'll also take account of the differences between business and personal leasing, contract hire, 'PCP' and hire purchase.
